Terms of use
In short: Toledo+ is a free, unofficial student project. You use it at your own risk, your institution’s rules still apply, and Toledo itself always remains the official source.
What Toledo+ is
Toledo+ is a browser extension that displays Toledo’s pages (and, if you want, data from KU Loket) differently in your own browser. It only works with your own signed-in session and only shows what Toledo and KU Loket already show you. It does not bypass any sign-in or security and changes nothing in Toledo, except marking notifications as read when you do so.
Unofficial
Toledo+ is an independent project by a student. It is not made, endorsed or supported by KU Leuven, the institutions of the KU Leuven Association or Blackboard/Anthology Inc. “Toledo” is the name of KU Leuven’s learning platform; Toledo+ only uses that name to describe what it works with. For problems with Toledo itself, contact your institution’s helpdesk — not about Toledo+.
Toledo remains the official source
Toledo+ does its best to show everything correctly and completely, but it can be wrong or miss something, for example when Toledo or KU Loket changes. When in doubt, always check deadlines, rooms, exams and announcements in Toledo or KU Loket itself. A missed deadline or a timetable error caused by Toledo+ is not a valid excuse towards your institution.
Your institution’s rules
Your use of Toledo, KU Loket and your institution’s IT facilities remains subject to its own regulations and terms of use. Toledo+ does not change that. If your institution asks you not to use Toledo+, remove it.
No warranty
Toledo+ is provided free of charge “as is”, without any warranty, under the MIT licence. It may stop working at any time (for example after a Toledo update), and there is no obligation to provide support or updates. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damage resulting from using, or being unable to use, Toledo+.
Privacy
How Toledo+ handles data is described in the privacy policy. In short: your Toledo data stays in your browser; only an anonymous daily signal you can turn off leaves it, plus feedback when you send it yourself.
Feedback and contributions
Feedback you send may appear as a public issue on GitHub (without your contact details). So don’t put personal data — yours or anyone else’s — in it. Code contributions fall under the MIT licence and the contribution guidelines.
Stopping
You can remove Toledo+ at any time via chrome://extensions or edge://extensions; this deletes everything it stored on your device. Toledo then simply works as before.
Changes and contact
These terms may change; the current version is always on this page. Questions? Use the Discussions on GitHub.
